Der junge Bruce Lee zieht mit seinen Freunden um die Häuser. Schule oder Arbeit interessieren ihn nicht sonderlich. Als er jedoch wieder mal verprügelt wird, fängt er an sein Kung-Fu zu verbessern. Er geht bei seinem Meister Yip-Man und anderen in die Lehre, um sein Kampfstil-Repertoire zu erweitern. Als er eines Tages von einem Gangstersyndikat, dem er ein Dorn im Auge ist, beschuldigt wird den Sohn eines bekannten Kung-Fu Meisters halb tot geschlagen zu haben, muss er sich dessen Vater zum Kampf stellen.
