Introducing eMule Next — an independent open-source project for Windows
Hi everyone,

I’d like to introduce eMule Next, a personal project built on eMule Community.
As a longtime eMule user, I wanted to refresh the familiar Windows client while keeping compatibility with the existing eD2K and Kad networks. This is an independent, unofficial fork—not a replacement for the original project or a claim to be the “official” eMule.

The current public release offers:
Portable versions for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows.
A refreshed interface, including a Modern Light theme and updated icons.
English plus 43 included translations.
Public source code and a place to report issues.
The project is free and open source. Development is incremental, with attention to compatibility and everyday usability.
The current release is 1.0.0-alpha.1, so it is still experimental. Please use a separate folder when testing and back up existing settings. The executables are unsigned, which may trigger a Windows SmartScreen warning.
Project, source code and screenshots

Thanks to the original eMule developers and everyone who has kept this network alive. Questions, suggestions and constructive feedback are welcome.
